They didn't leave Nabol until several hours later.
"Lord" Menron was "relieved" of his lordly duties by F'lar, and was then forced on a dragon to be taken to "southern hold." Harry later learned that southern hold was where trouble makers were being sent.
Crabbe and Goyle's wands were taken away, and then caustiously removed from the wall. Harry took charge of Malfoy's wand, Hermione of Crabbe's, and Ron took Goyle's. Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle then had their hands tied behind their backs, and each one would ride with a separate dragonrider to Benden. No one was afraid of Malfoy and his cronies any more; T'bor had insisted on a full strip search.
While Harry was getting mopped up from several fussy women from the Nabol kitchen staff, Hermione and Ron explained exactly what happened the day they left the Weyr.
Lessa what quite relieved to find Felessan hadn't really been possessed, and both Weyrleaders profusely apologized to Hermione.
"Felessan is the only child F'lar and I have had." Lessa started telling Hermione. "We didn't raise him of course, he was immediately turned into a fosterling, but he's still the only child I've been able to carry to term."
Harry walked in just in time to hear the last part.
"Oh! Harry, are you alright?" Hermione asked.
"I'm fine." Harry said looking surprisingly cleaner. His eyes were still blood shot, but they'd be like that for several more days.
"Are we ready to go then?" F'lar asked.
Harry nodded.
"Alright, you three get up." F'lar said firmly to Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle, who had been sitting crossed legged on the floor quietly listening while Hermione and Ron talked to the Weyrleaders.
Malfoy stood up and Crabbe and Goyle followed.
The gaggle of people went to the ledge where the dragons waited to receive their passengers. Harry, Ron and Hermione waited while Malfoy, Crabbe, and Goyle were position on their individual escort dragons.
After they saw those three were positioned with out incident, they followed F'lar and Lessa to Ramoth and Mnementh, their dragons.
F'lar told Harry and Ron they were going to ride with him on Mnementh, and Hermione was to ride with Ramoth.
As they approached the dragons Hermione became hesitant.
Harry and Ron both noticed.
"Come on Hermione." Harry whispered to her.
Ron put his hand on her back and gently pushed her along.
Either Ramoth sensed Hermione's hesitation, or Lessa mentally told Ramoth, because the giant dragon turned its head to look directly at Hermione.
Now that the queen wasn't ferociously guarding her eggs it looked quite pleasant. Harry hadn't realized before how beautiful the dragon really was until now. It was a very pretty shade of gold, that, depending on how the light hit it, seemed to vary into shades of yellow and orange.
The head was the most fascinating. Its eyes seem to have multiple eyelids that depending on which were open the eye changed colors.
It was a truly marvelous creature.
"Thank you," Harry thought he heard Lessa say.
"Excuse me?" Harry asked still gently pushing Hermione who had become slightly less hesitant.
"Harry?" Ron raised an eyebrow.
"What?" Harry looked between Hermione, Ron and Lessa, they were all looking at him curiously. "Did one of you say something?"
"No." Hermione said slowly.
Harry shook his head a little. "Could have sworn..."
Ron shrugged. "Might be some after effect from the curse."
Still slightly confused, Harry and Ron helped Hermione onto the back of the dragon.
Harry and Ron then followed F'lar to Mnementh. Harry looked back at Ramoth, and the giant dragon looked right at him and gave him a multi-lided wink. Harry stared. Why did this seem familiar?
"Come on Harry." Ron said from on Mnementh's back.
When everyone was mounted, the dragons leapt into the air.
The experience was almost better then the first time Harry and ridden a broom. Almost, but not quite.
"Get ready to go between." F'lar said turning his head to look at Harry and Ron.
"How?" Ron said bluntly.
F'lar smiled and lifted his arm into the air. When F'lar brought his arm down with a swish everything to stop.
Everything around them disappeared.
Harry could not see anything around him, and if he couldn't feel the dragon he wouldn't even be sure it was there.
The cold in this strange nowhere was extreme. If Harry could have breathed he was sure his breath would have frozen in an instant.
And no more then three seconds later they were over Benden Weyr again.
"Wicked." Harry heard Ron whisper.
The dragons touched down gracefully, and their passengers disembarked.
Harry, Ron and Hermione helped escort the three prisoners to their room.
Like when the trio first arrived on Pern, the room was to be barred from the outside, and this room wouldn't have the leisure of a window (however they still had a bathroom). An armed guard was to be posted at all times, and food would only be brought in by Harry, Ron or Hermione, or atleast with their supervision.
After the trio had seen Malfoy, Crabbe, and Goyle to their room, they returned to theirs.
Ron immediately lay down.
"A bed! Not a cloak thrown over rocks!" He said gleefully.
Hermione however was more interested in Harry at the moment. It was the first time the three had been alone together since Malfoy's appearance.
"Why?" Hermione asked simply.
"Hmm?" Harry said vaguely, fully aware what Hermione wanted to know.
"Why were you suddenly so pro-Malfoy?" Hermione said bluntly crossing her arms. "Not that I mind," she added. "I wasn't looking forward to watching his head cut off." She shuddered slightly.
So Harry explained the strange place he found himself after the curse, the strange woman, her warning, and the strange things she said.
"Everything about you, past, present and future." Ron said slowly. "Sounds like you have a spiritual stalker."
Hermione ignored Ron. "Are you sure you weren't just.." Hermione hesitated.
"I'm almost positive I wasn't delusional." Harry said finishing her thought. "And even if I was, I wasn't willing to risk it. We already know something strange is going on here. Something not right. Something that needs to be fixed."
Harry seemed to be lost in thought, simply staring off blankly into space, his eyes still as blood shot as before.
Hermione didn't think this looked good.
"Come on." She said. "Lessa said dinner would be served soon, lets go get something to eat."
"Yah, good idea Hermione." Ron said. He too was trying to think of something to snap Harry out of it.
"Sure." Harry mumbled still vaguely staring.
The three were walking down a hallway, about to turn into the dinning hall, when I little boy came running around the corner and right into Hermione, almost knocking her over.
"Oh sorry!" He gasped, and then starred. "Hermione! Harry! Ron! What are you doing back here! I thought after what happened you'd be long gone!" Felessan cried in pleased amazement.
Just then the Weyrleaders came down the hall from behind the trio.
Felessan breathed in sharply.
"Hello, I'm Felessan, welcome to Benden Weyr. Never seen you here before, never ever." He gasped quickly.
"It's alright Felessan." Lessa said calmly. "We know everything."
F'lar was obviously fighting a smile and nodded curtly.
"Oh." Felessan said now rather confused. "Can we eat then?"
Everyone laughed, and the six of them entered the dinning hall for a very enjoyable meal.
